RAID & NAS recovery pricing in Spain

Real prices by RAID level, disk count and complexity. No hidden fees. No recovery, no fee. Diagnostic communicated within 48 hours of receiving the array.

Pricing by RAID type and disk count

RAID recovery cost depends on disk count, RAID level, file system and whether the volume hosts virtualized servers or encryption. Diagnostic identifies which tier applies and we quote a fixed price before any intervention.

RAID typePrice
RAID 0 / RAID 1 (2 disks)
Mirror or stripe across two drives. Logical recovery, accidental delete or one disk failure on RAID 1.
€500 – €900
RAID 5 / RAID 6 (3–8 disks)
Parity-based array. Reconstruction from healthy members + parity calculation. Most common server config.
€700 – €1,500
NAS multi-bay (Synology, QNAP, WD)
Synology SHR, QNAP RAID, WD My Cloud. Btrfs / ext4 reconstruction and proprietary metadata.
€600 – €1,300
RAID with multiple degraded disks
More disks failed than the parity tolerates. Requires sector-by-sector imaging of each member before reconstruction.
€900 – €1,800
RAID 10 / nested RAID
Mirror-of-stripes or stripe-of-mirrors. Reconstruction needs to handle both layers correctly.
€800 – €1,600
Encrypted RAID / virtualized volumes
BitLocker, LUKS, VMFS datastores, Hyper-V VHDs, virtualized servers. Recovery + virtual disk reconstruction.
€1,200 – €2,500

* Prices include diagnostic, recovery, secure data transfer to a new drive and return shipping (MRW with insurance). VAT not included. Express service (3–5 days) +50%.

01

No recovery, no fee

If we don't recover your data after the agreed intervention, you don't pay the recovery fee.

02

Image-first methodology

We never write to your original disks. Every member is imaged sector-by-sector, then we reconstruct the array offline.

03

Virtualization expertise

VMFS, Hyper-V, Proxmox and ESXi datastores. We recover and remount virtual disks individually.

Why does RAID pricing vary?

A 2-disk RAID 1 with one healthy mirror needs hours of work. A 6-disk RAID 6 with two failed disks, an encrypted volume and a VMFS datastore needs sector imaging of all 6 disks, parity reconstruction, decryption and virtual disk extraction — easily 30+ hours of bench time.

Anyone quoting a flat 'RAID price' is either guessing or hasn't seen your case yet.

Cost factors

  • • RAID level (0, 1, 5, 6, 10, nested)
  • • Disk count and capacity
  • • How many disks have physical damage
  • • File system (Btrfs, ext4, NTFS, ZFS, VMFS)
  • • Encryption (BitLocker, LUKS, hardware)
  • • Virtualized servers on the volume
  • • Express turnaround (3–5 days)

Pricing questions

How much does RAID data recovery cost in Spain?+

Between €500 and €2,500 depending on RAID level, disk count and whether the volume is encrypted. RAID 1 logical recovery starts at €500. A degraded encrypted RAID 6 with VMFS datastores can reach €2,500. Final price always communicated after diagnostic.

Why is RAID more expensive than a single disk recovery?+

RAID recovery requires sector-by-sector imaging of every member disk before any reconstruction. Then the array geometry (stripe size, disk order, parity rotation) must be reverse-engineered, the file system rebuilt and — if virtualized — virtual disks remounted. This work scales with disk count.

Do you handle Synology / QNAP NAS?+

Yes. We work with Synology SHR / SHR-2, QNAP, WD My Cloud, Buffalo TeraStation, Drobo and most consumer/SMB NAS. Btrfs, ext4, ZFS and proprietary file systems handled in-lab.

What if more disks failed than parity allows?+

Recovery is still possible in many cases. We image every available disk first, attempt to repair the most-recoverable failed disks, and reconstruct the array from the best combination of available data. Success depends on overlap between damaged areas across disks.

Should I send all the disks?+

Yes — every disk including failed ones. RAID reconstruction needs the full set to determine geometry, even if one or more disks are unreadable. Never reconfigure or rebuild the array yourself; that's the most common cause of total data loss in RAID.

Is the diagnostic free?+

Diagnostic is free if you accept the recovery quote. If you decline, a flat €45 fee covers diagnostic time and return shipping. No surprises.
