Pricing by SSD type and failure
SSD recovery cost depends mainly on whether the controller still responds and whether the drive is encrypted. Diagnostic identifies which tier applies and we quote a fixed price before any intervention.

Why does SSD pricing vary?
A logical recovery on a working SSD needs hours of software work. A chip-off on an encrypted NVMe with damaged controller needs a hardware reader, donor controller and a manual FTL reconstruction that can take 20+ hours.
Anyone quoting a single 'SSD price' is either overcharging logical cases or undercharging — and abandoning — chip-off ones.

Pricing questions
How much does SSD data recovery cost in Spain?+
Between €200 and €2,000 depending on failure type. A logical recovery (format, deleted partition) starts at €200. NAND chip-off on an encrypted enterprise SSD can reach €2,000. Final price always communicated after diagnostic — never billed without your prior approval.
Why is NVMe recovery more expensive than SATA SSD?+
NVMe drives use proprietary controllers with their own firmware and TRIM behavior. When the controller fails, recovery requires either firmware-level intervention or a chip-off where the NAND is read on hardware and the FTL (translation tables) reconstructed manually.
Can you recover data from a Samsung 980/990, WD SN850 or similar consumer NVMe?+
Yes. We work with Samsung Phoenix/Pascal/Elpis controllers, WD/SanDisk, Crucial, Kingston and most consumer NVMe families. Encrypted drives require additional work but are recoverable when the original controller is intact.
What about TRIM? Does it make recovery impossible?+
TRIM aggressively wipes deleted blocks, but it doesn't run during a power-off, BIOS-not-detected or controller failure. If the drive failed before TRIM completed, data is recoverable. Logical recovery on a working drive after TRIM is much harder.
Is the diagnostic free?+
Diagnostic is free if you accept the recovery quote. If you decline, a flat €45 fee covers diagnostic time and return shipping. No surprises.
Do you handle BitLocker-encrypted SSDs?+
Yes. We handle both BitLocker (eDrive/OPAL) and software BitLocker. With the recovery key or password, recovery proceeds normally. Without keys, recovery is only viable in narrow scenarios — we'll be honest about feasibility before charging anything.
